Mockups der Website von SWAG

Background

For a new campaign, the existing SWAG website was to undergo a comprehensive design overhaul. A complete relaunch was not planned. Instead, new pages and content elements were to be created, whilst existing content would remain available.

The marketing department developed the new visual identity. Q3i provided advice on technical feasibility and handled the front-end implementation as well as integration into TYPO3.

Challenge

The facelift affected key elements of the website: typography, headers, hero sections and numerous content elements. At the same time, the existing installation was to remain operational and not require a complete overhaul all at once.

The new components had to be compatible with existing pages and content so that the editorial team could gradually transition the website to the new design.

Solution

We revised existing elements and supplemented them with new layout variants. These included hero sections, product groups, benefits, testimonials, video galleries and newsletter teasers. For dynamic content, we integrated animated SVGs and videos. Scroll and hover effects complemented the new look and feel.

We initially made new and adapted elements available as templates on a secure TYPO3 page. This allowed them to be tested and then implemented page by page, without having to revamp the entire website all at once.

Result

SWAG received a significantly revamped web design without having to replace the existing TYPO3 website with a complete relaunch. Existing content remained usable, whilst the editorial team was able to roll out new pages and components step by step.

Conclusion

A website revamp does not necessarily have to involve a technical overhaul. Thanks to compatible components and a phased roll-out, the new design was integrated whilst the site remained live.
